The recycled brick and stone terraces provide a dramatic entry to the house with its welcoming porch. This client had a strong connection to the rural land, and wanted an expansive home with views in all directions The series of clustered pavilions provide stunning gable end rooms that look out over the gardens and horse paddocks beyond. The home features an indoor pool which projects into the garden, providing a sense of being outside in all weather. The use of verandahs, decks and terraces provide a strong connection to the outdoors, and provide various entertaining spaces such as the fire pit and BBQ area. Natural materials such as timber cladding, stone walls and hardwood pergolas integrate the home with the landscape. These materials are drawn into the house and feature throughout in particular in the vaulted living room and pool room ceilings, where they continue the connection with the garden. The transitions between the inside and outside of the house are blurred where the large timber doors open to allow a seamless flow in and out.

The expansive site allowed the hoone to have views from all sides, with the reushing design festuning two wings oroming each other with a double heigin apex. Natural materials such as timber and stone, and full height windows drew these views auto the house for an open feeling throughout.
